Wind, Stroll (2009-2010)
Through Wind, Stroll series, I sought to find a formative union of an invisible energy of nature with myself. Whiteness of overlapped pieces of Korean paper on canvas symbolizes an infinite space. Wild flowers that had long been collected and dried within a book were sprinkled on it, which composed the layout of the screen with the minimum of intervention.
For every each flower that was dropped on a certain location by chance or necessity, I drew petals with colored pencils. Amid a strained tension with wind and wild flowers in the given space, I continued to seek beauty through negotiation.
